“OPEN turned out to be the perfect name for this event, which exhibited Charleston’s highly collaborative arts community while making all of it open and accessible to the public, ” wrote the Charleston City Paper.

"I hope there are more of these types of events as the coverage leading up to the event as well as the event itself drove not just simple exposure, but interest on a widespread basis," pronounced Christopher Burgess Assistant Professor at the School of the Arts at the College of Charleston.

"We loved this event. Although we also love the Kidsfair, OPEN had more for us as we are looking for a way to introduce our children to the arts ... programs like these give our children the education and creativity that they need to blossom and grow," said Gabe Bluestein, IT Manager at the Charleston Housing Authority.

“Featuring an array of artistic and cultural offerings in the tri-county area, this free inaugural event (OPEN) by the Charleston Regional Alliance for the Arts also is fueled by the goal of "breaking down the barriers to participation in the arts," wrote The Post & Courier.

"The OPEN project went very well and I commend you on the concept and success," commented Marty Besancon, Director of the City of North Charleston Cultural Arts Department.
